Escala Tagaytay

Escala Tagaytay is an already established resort hotel in Tagaytay known for its signature infinity pool, great views of the Taal volcano and excellent service. It is located just beside Sky Ranch.

Their signature pool is not heated, if you intend to come here for swimming, we suggest booking sometime in summer as Tagaytay can get very cold during December to February. The views from their infinity pool are jaw droppingly beautiful. See images below.

The infinity pool is a lot more inviting at night. Lights were installed in the pool in the shape of a Tawilis - species of fish endemic in Taal lake.

Upon arrival

Check-in and check-out time is divided into two batches to provide quality service by reducing waiting time of guests in the waiting area.

Check-in time for Executive, Family Prestige, and Prestige rooms is at 2PM, and check-out time is at 12NN. Bookings for Deluxe, Deluxe Premiere, Premiere, and Cellar Premiere will be at 4PM check-in and 2PM check-out.

Guests will be assisted by very courteous staff. They will help you unload your baggage. Welcome drinks are provided, self-service. There's an option for fruit juice and cucumber infused water.

 

Accommodation

All kids below 13 years of age are free of charge. Extra adult costs 1800 per head (includes extra bed, additional toiletries, bottle of water and breakfast).

Deluxe

This is the most affordable room with a partial view of the infinity pool. Rate starts from 8,200 pesos. This room can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids below 13 years of age.

Deluxe Premier

This room is similar to the deluxe room but with a better view. It has a full view of the infinity pool and a partial view of the lake. Rate starts at 10,800 pesos.

Welcome cookies and a sanitary kit is provided. The sanitary kit contains, face mask, wet wipes and alcohol spray.

There is also a mini-bar with a mini refrigerator filled with canned soft drinks, fruit juices, beers and water. One bottle of water per person is included in the room charge, coffee, creamer and tea is also provided. Everything else will be deducted on your security deposit upon checkout.

Each room has a queen sized-bed and a double-bed. Your extra bed will be brought to your room upon request.

Toiletries are also provided which includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap bar, handwash, hand and body lotion, shaving kit, dental kit, shower cap and a vanity kit.

The vanity kit includes a nail file, cotton buds and cotton pads.

Bathroom has a rainshower head and a hair dryer.

A safety deposit box is available inside the closet. Slippers and laundry bags for used clothes and wet clothes are also provided. There is also a dehumidifier available in each of the rooms.

Executive

These rooms are located at the end of each wing with a full view of the taal lake.

Cellar Premiere

These rooms are located at the basement, below the infinity pool area with a very private view of the grotto garden.

Buffet breakfast

All rooms include a buffet breakfast for 2 persons. Extra breakfast for kids costs around 480. Extra breakfast for an extra adult is already included in the 1800 extra pax charge.

Breakfast is served at Bellissima restaurant from 7:00 to 10:00 am. Escala serves one of the best breakfast buffets (next to Acacia Hotel) but the view here is unparalleled.

There's a wide selection of food available. There are pancakes, waffles, bread with marmalade, sweet pastries such as brownies, fruits and vegetable salad.

Coffee, fruit juices, congee and soup are available. Hot or cold chocolate is available upon request.

Choice of steamed rice or fried rice is available and up to 12 different kinds of viands and condiments.

Open from 8:00am to 8:00pm. You may request for towels at the counter.

Their gym is open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Available by appointment from 10:00am to 10:00pm

Free complimentary birthday cake

Spend your birthday at Escala. Check-in the day before your birthday and let the staff know you are celebrating a special occasion. A free slice of cake with a candle will be provided on your breakfast. Save money by not having to buy a cake.

Best value for money for a family of 4 with kids below 13 years of age.

The most affordable room can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids below 13 years old. Kids below 13 years old are free of charge.

Bring food and wine.

Unlike most resorts, bringing of food and drinks is allowed. Save money by bringing in food for dinner and lunch. You can bring wine, corkage-free. Goblet is provided in the room's mini-bar. Ice is available upon request. Room service is available 24 hours.

Have your food delivered via Grab
