Overnight stay starts from 1,500 pesos without breakfast
In barangay Duhat, Cavinti, Laguna lies a farm with container vans turned into tiny houses for accommodation.
Yes, you read it right. Ever dreamed of tiny house living? For those who were a fan of Tiny house nation, here is a chance to put a check on that bucket list!
Here in Farm T-House, all houses are equipped with a sofa bed, pillows, blankets and electric fan(s). No air-conditioned room is available but the cold mountain breeze starting from afternoon makes no need for air-conditioning. The pictures above are from Slim T-house which has a second level room. The house is good for 4-6pax.
At the back is a balcony with a foldable table and two small chairs overlooking a lake/river filled with water lilies. Underneath it is a hammock in between rows of flowering plants.
Check-in starts at 3:00 pm. Upon arrival, a short orientation of the place will be provided. Should you wish to come earlier before the check-in time, feel free to stroll around and take pictures of different animals roaming free within the farm. Yes, this accommodation is actually within a farm!
Cows are milked twice daily at 4:00 am and 4:00 pm. Guests can try to experience milking the cows for free! Extracted milk is processed within the vicinity to produce different dairy products such as flavored fresh milk (french vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, etc.) or milk tea. These products are available for purchase. Should you wish to try to feed goats, a feeding milk bottle is available for only 100 pesos. You can also request for a farm tour the next day at around 10:30 am for only 50 php per pax.
Even dinner time could also be a memorable experience! Try out their fried rabbit for dinner, proudly a famous local viand Afripaya (afritadang papaya) and TiTi-silog for breakfast! The name of this meal is very witty because "titi" in Filipino, is the male private part and "log" from "itlog" is the scrotum. This is hilarious because it could mean having a male genitalia for breakfast where in fact it is the combination of "titi" for TInapang TIlapia (smoked tilapia), SInangag (fried rice) and itLOG (egg). Make sure to pre-order your meals upon checking-in. Click here to see Farm T-House / Bloc Farm Stay menu. You may also bring your own food, corkage free.
Dinner is served at 7:00pm and bonfire starts at 8:00 pm. Make sure to bring marshmallows on sticks!
Farm T-house is such a nice place to be to get the kids out of the house and experience a sort-of nature and private zoo trip while maintaining social distancing. There are only 4 houses therefore accepting only a limited number of guests. There are however a few things you would like to consider:
The road a few hundred meters to the location is quite narrow and fits only one vehicle at a time.
Four houses share two common toilets and baths. It would be troublesome to take a toilet visit late at night. You may want to bring your 'arinola' for the kids and elderly.
The cube house may not be suitable for families with very young children. If bringing children, it is best to book the single level houses (airy and tube t-house) or the slim t-house. Going to the second level of the slim t-house is a ladder which will be difficult for the kids to go up and down unlike the staircase in the cube t-house.
For ease of booking, we suggest booking through AirBnb. The staff could get quite busy and may not respond right away through their Facebook Page.
All the staff in farm T-house is very friendly and accommodating. Two thumbs up for a very unique and awesome experience in this very humble farm-side accommodation.
