Price starts from 4,500 PHP up to 10 pax
Little Boracay in Calatagan Batangas is famous for its white sand and clear beach similar to Boracay Philippines.
It is best for family outings and safe for toddlers because water is mostly just up to knee high. Different fishes and starfishes can be seen nearby.
Unlike Boracay which is famous for its long white beach, Little Boracay is in the middle of the sea. You will need to get a floating house or a floating cottage to get there. Your floating house or cottage will be pulled by a boat to your destination.

Do you know that choosing a floating house over a floating cottage on your trip to Calatagan Batangas Little Boracay can give you a totally different experience?
A floating cottage can take 10 pax. Price ranges from 3,500 to 4,500. Children below 3 years of age are free of charge. It can accommodate up to 15 pax with an additional 400 pesos per head. Strictly not more than 15 persons per cottage.
The floating cottage is small enough that it can dock in shallow waters and on the shore. All providers of floating cottages are docked near Nasugbu public market.
Cottage would normally have a table and 2 benches, a view deck, a small room for storage and a grill. It will be pulled by a boat to your destination with 2 boatmen. Life vests are provided.
A floating house can be a little bit more expensive than a floating cottage but during lean season, a floating house can cost just the same as a floating cottage for big groups.
It can accommodate more than 15 pax per house. A floating house price can vary depending on your provider and the amenities provided. Price ranges from 6,500 per house for 15pax. Additional pax is 300-400.
A floating house also has the same amenities provided in a floating cottage (table, benches, view deck, storage room and life vests) with additional amenities such as beds, gas stove, kitchen utensils, cooler, hammocks and a toilet. Keep in mind that for most floating cottages, toilets can only be used for peeing. Urine contains urea which is good for all plants including sea plants. Human waste on the other hand could contain E. coli and is bad for marine diversity.
As of this date, only one provider is providing a floating house/cottage installed with marine toilets - Rafters Calatagan. Because of the additional convenience, their prices are relatively more expensive than others.
Suggest to do a colon cleanse a day before your trip when your cottage / house does not have a marine toilet installed.
Trash bins are also provided and segregated by biodegradable, non-biodegradable and infectious wastes. Solar panels are installed which allows guests to charge their devices onboard. It can be used to run electric fans during intense summer heat.
Because floating houses have beds and have solar powered lights and fans, floating houses can accommodate overnight stay.
The floating house is bigger and heavier than a floating cottage. It cannot pass shallow waters and it cannot dock along the shore. Floating houses are docked near the private properties of their providers. A house has an assigned boat and 2 boatmen which will carry the passengers from the shore to the floating house.
Ask your provider how far your house is docked from their parking area. In some cases, you may need to cross a mangrove forest and have to cross a man-made bamboo bridge which is not advisable for senior citizens or persons with disabilities.
Unlike floating cottages, the floating house will be docked in a sandbar and your assigned boatmen will take you to different destinations using a small boat. Those who do not wish to join island hopping can stay in the floating house to prepare meals or sleep on the bed.
One of the conveniences of staying in a floating house is that your assigned boatmen can fetch fresh water from the mainland to your house for cooking and washing purposes. Use of soap is strictly prohibited.
This is the sand bar where floating houses will be docked. If you booked a floating cottage, this is not included in your itinerary. Though this sandbar is a bit shelly and the sand can get a bit coursey, this is a nice place to take instagram-worthy pictures and collect shells.
Take note to not spend too much time in this sand bar. Low tide is the best time for island hopping and snorkeling. Use the time to get to more destinations as you can always come back to this area after lunch.
Calatagan has many sand bars with fine white sands like Boracay’s. Bring your kids along as these are mostly up to knee deep and life vests will be provided. Suggest to bring your own life vests for small kids.
This is an optional trip. Ask your provider if they provide snorkeling gears. Highly suggest bringing aqua shoes to avoid stepping on sea urchins. Watch out for ice cream vendors hitching boat rides. They accept payments via GCash :)
If traveling in a small group, best to book a floating cottage.
If traveling in a large group, you might want to check floating houses.
Floating houses can provide more amenities and bigger space but a floating cottage can bring your cottage anywhere.
For overnight stay, consider floating houses.
Floating cottages are located at the public market. The advantage is that you can buy food before boarding and you can buy pasalubong before leaving.
Floating houses are docked on private property, you may have a more private but still shared comfort rooms.
Bring extra food for 2 persons for your boat men.
Highly recommend to bring your own snorkeling gears and aqua shoes
Colon cleanse the day before to avoid the need to go to the toilet on your trip.
Come early and make sure to visit all travel destinations by lunch time. The best time is always during low tide.
Ask your provider if they offer a boodle fight package for a more convenient stay.
If you are planning to snorkel on your visit, bring your own snorkeling set. Most snorkeling set has a mouth piece, bringing your own instead of renting one is more hygienic.
